  • New Boss in town: Mohammed Fawzi joins Al Ain on a three-year deal.

Al Ain have strengthened their midfield options for the new season with the signing of Mohammed Fawzi from Bani Yas.

The UAE midfielder becomes the Boss’ fourth signing of the summer, and joins on a three-year contract.

He is the second player in as many years to leave Al Samawi for the Garden City, and will reunite with Sultan Al Ghaferi at Al Ain.

Meanwhile, Hussain Fadel is keen to make Al Wahda “fans and administration happier” after seeing his loan from Al Qadsia officially extended for a second season.

The Kuwaiti defender agreed a deal to remain at the Abu Dhabi club for another year at the end of the last campaign, but his parent club only confirmed the move late on Saturday night.

It means he retains his place as the club’s Asian player.

He said: “I would like to thank the club management for the huge interest they have shown to extend my contract for another season, and also I do not forget to thank Qadsia Club for making the renewal process easier.

“I will work in the next season to make the fans and administration happier.”

One player who will not be around though is Hamid Al Kamali, who is set to make history after joining Maltese champions Valletta FC on a one-year loan.

The 21-year-old defender – the younger brother of UAE centre-back Hamdan Al Kamali – could become the first ever Emirati to play in the Champions League.
