  • On the move: Jorginho could be leaving Al Wasl after just seven weeks in charge.

Al Wasl coach Jorginho could be leaving his position after just seven weeks in charge and without managing a single game as Brazil expect to name the former World Cup winner as their assistant manager under Dunga.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) had planed to announce Luiz Felipe Scolari’s successor last week but instead unwrapped a new technical commission headed by former goalkeeper Gilmar.

After considering former Corinthians boss Tite, who spent one year in the UAE managing Al Ain, Dunga has been chosen to lead the Selecao for the second time in his career after his sacking after World Cup 2010.

Dunga, Jorginho and Gilmar were all teammates at USA 1994, where Brazil won their fourth world title.

Jorginho was only appointed Al Wasl boss in April but is yet to even manage a game having agreed in his contract to take over in June.

Should the 49-year-old leave the Zabeel Stadium, it would represent the club's 11th managerial change – including interims – in five years.
