  • Woes behind him: Ibrahima Toure (l).

Al Nasr striker Ibrahima Toure put his disciplinary problems behind him with a brace in a 3-0 victory for his Al Nasr side over Ajman at the Rashid bin Saeed Stadium to hand Ivan Jovanovic’s men their second win of the season.

Toure, who was returning to the Nasr fold after a club suspension and four-match AGL ban for punching Bani Yas defender Mohamed Jaber in their first game of the season, added the firepower the Blue Wave needed after an inconsistent start to their campaign.

The Senegal striker’s goal marked the end of a remarkable week for the former Monaco man who faced the exit door at Nasr until a deal for Portugal striker Hugo Almeida fell through before the close of the AGL transfer window.

Toure’s two goals sandwiched Ivan Trickovski’s effort and condemned the home side to their third defeat of the season.

Ajman are still in search of their first win of the season.

Elsewhere in the early kick-offs, ten-man Al Wasl beat struggling Ittihad Kalba 1-0 to earn three points for the first time under Brazilian boss Jorginho.

Despite Hassan Zahran’s 65th minute red card, Wasl were able to hold on to the win which came courtesy of Caio Canedo Correa’s second goal for the club.

Meanwhile, Al Dhafra maintained their 100% draw record after being held at home by Emirates Club.

Rodrigo Souza Silva gave Emirates the lead after 43 minutes only for the home side to draw level two minutes later thanks to Youssef Kaddioui’s leveler.
