  • On fire: Nasr now have two wins out of two in the AGL.

A rampant Al Nasr strolled to a 5-1 home victory over Fujairah this afternoon, thanks to goals from Ali Al Ameri, Ibrahima Toure (3) and captain Brett Holman.

Salem Obaid Syif's deflected long-range free-kick merely served as consolation for the visitors.

It took Nasr just four minutes to register, Al Ameri's steered backpost header getting Ivan Jovanovic's men off to a flying start.

Holman's stunning effort quarter of an hour later meant Fujairah were staring at an uphill battle before Toure's fine finish put the game beyond their reach half way through the first period.

A subdued second-half followed and it was Toure's second and third goals of the game that brought a clinical end to the game.

The Senegal striker's smart 70th minute finish, following a combination of some excellent work on the right from Fahad Hadeed and woeful Fujairah marking, made it 4-1 before his late penalty gave his and Nasr's performance added gloss.

Toure now has five goals from two games since returning to the Nasr side after punching Bani Yas defender Muhamed Jaber in the face during the first game of the season.

The result leaves Fujairah winless from their first five games and the AGL new boys are languising in 12th place.

Nasr meanwhile have now won two on the bounce and the Blue Wave are looking more like title contenders on a weekly basis.

Elsewhere, Sharjah and Emirates Club shared a 1-1 draw at Emirates Club Stadium.

On-loan Brazilian midfielder Rodriguinho Marinho's first goal for the club on the stroke of half-time handed Sharjah the lead.

German Herrera's effort in the second-half levelled things up for Emirates.
