Arabian Gulf League-title chasers Al Nasr have finalised their foreign business after winger Jonathan Pitroipa completed his switch from Al Jazira Wednesday night.

Pitroipa, 29, has signed a two-year deal after a fee was agreed with the Pride of Abu Dhabi last week and he subsequently passed a medical. The Burkina Faso star has joined up with his new team-mates in their German training camp.

The ex-Rennes wide man looks set to join fellow new boys Luis Jimenez and Nilmar in the Blue Wave’s four-player foreign quota, along with the retained Renan Garcia. AWOL striker Ibrahima Toure is now almost certain to be sold by the President’s Cup and Arabian Gulf Cup holders.

Meanwhile, attacking midfielder Renato Augusto has rejected the chance to boost AFC Champions League quarter-finalists Al Ahli’s Brazilian contingent.

Augusto, 27, is currently starring for Corinthians in his homeland after ending a four-year spell at Bayer Leverkusen in 2013. Yahoo Esportes has stated he could have made a $15 million switch to Dubai last week but rejected a three-year deal as he had no desire to play there.

Colombian striker Wilmar Jordan could be the missing piece at Emirates Club as they look to seal their four-player foreign quota.
Jordan, 24, has been put on the market by Chinese Super League strugglers Tianjin Teda after he scored just once in 11 appearances since his February arrival from Bulgaria’s Litex Lovech. Several Arabic newspapers have reported the Falcons are prepared to pay his €750,000 (Dh3m) transfer fee.
