    11:30 – Shahid Afridi declares himself fit

    Pakistan’s star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has said he is recovering from his knee injury and will be fit to play for the World XI during a charity T20 game against the West Indies.

    Afridi said he will play at the Lord’s on May 31 as it is his duty.

    10:45 pm – Delhi beat Chennai by 34 runs

    Delhi Daredevils leg-spinners Amit Mishra and Sandeep Lamichhane secured a 34-run win over Chennai Super Kings in the IPL on Friday.

    Delhi made 162-5, which proved to much for MS Dhoni’s team who only managed 128-6.

    Legendary Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne has expressed his unhappiness at India’s refusal to play a day-night Test during it tour of the country later this year. Cricket Australia had implored India to play a day-night Test at Adelaide during the series but that request was shot down by the BCCI.

    After impressing one and all in the IPL debut, Nepal leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is expected to retain his spot for Delhi Daredevils when they take on Chennai Super Kings on Friday. The 17-year-old is one of then several names in our Fantasy Team picks for the clash.

    3:30pm – Sunrisers Hyderabad look to spoil Kolkata Knight Riders’ party

    In the second of IPL’s Saturday double-header, league leaders Sunrisers Hyderabad will host the Kolkata Knight Riders.     1:30pm – Royal battle for the playoffs at Jaipur as Rajasthan take on Bangalore

    In the first of IPL’s double-header on Saturday, the Rajasthan Royals will take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Sawai Mansigh stadium in Jaipur.     10:30pm – Steve Smith approached to play in Global T20 Canada tournament

    Suspended former Australia skipper Steve Smith could make a return to cricket with the inaugural Global T20 Canada tournament set to get underway in Toronto next month. Smith had been handed a 12-month ban by Cricket Australia for his role in the infamous ball-tampering episode in South Africa.
