11:30 – Pakistan in commanding position
Four Pakistan batsmen, including Babar Azam, hit fifties as Sarfraz Ahmed’s team reached 350 for eight in the first Test against England at Lord’s.
England dropped many chances in the slip cordon as Pakistan stretched the lead to 166.

10:30 pm – Sunrisers into IPL final
Rashid Khan had a brilliant day in the field as Sunrisers Hyderabad beat the Kolkata Knight Riders by 14 runs to enter the IPL final on Friday.
Rashid hit 34, took three wickets and claimed two catches plus a run-out to single-handedly set up a title clash with Chennai Super Kings.

7:15 pm – Rashid Khan takes Sunrisers Hyderabad to 174-7
Spinner Rashid Khan hit 34 from just 10 balls to take Sunrisers Hyderabad to a competitive 174-7 in the IPL Qualifier against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Rashid helped score 24 runs from the final over after a slow start from Kane Williamson’s team at the Eden Gardens on Friday.

7:00 pm – Sarfraz Ahmed out at the stroke of tea
Pakistan lost their captain Sarfraz Ahmed just before tea even as his team held the upper hand in the Lord’s Test against England.
Pakistan moved on to 264 for five in the final session after Babar Azam and Asad Shafiq hit fifties.

In the second qualifier of the IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad are set to battle it out for a place in the finals alongside Chennai Super Kings. According to latest reports, BCCI could allow Indian players to participate in the inaugural 100-ball tournament to be launched by the ECB in 2020. Indian players are currently not allowed to participate in any overseas T20 competitions

At lunch on day two at Lord’s, Pakistan are placed at 136-3 with Asad Shafiq and Babar Azam at the crease. Haris Sohail (39) was the first wicket to fall on the day after he was dismissed by Mark Wood. Azhar Ali fell just after bringing up his 28th half-century to James Anderson. The second day of the first Test between England and Pakistan at Lord’s is upon us. In some really shocking news emanating from Sri Lanka, all-rounder Dhananjaya de Silva has withdrawn from the squad to tour the West Indies after his father was murdered by unidentified gunmen on Thursday night. Sri Lanka were due to depart for the West Indies for the three-Test match series on Friday.
11:30am – Ed Joyce announces immediate retirement from all forms of cricket
On Thursday, Ireland’s Ed Joyce called time on his cricket career just days after fulfilling his lifelong ambition of playing Test cricket. Having played ODIs and T20Is for both England and Ireland, Joyce finally marked his Test debut at the age of 39 when the latter took on Pakistan in a one-off Test at Dublin.
10:30am – Steve Smith confirmed for Global T20 in Canada
Former Australia skipper Steve Smith has been confirmed as one of several marquee players for the proposed Global T20 Canada league set to get underway on June 28.
The banned Australia star joins the likes of Chris Lynn, Shahid Afridi, Chris Gayle, Lasith Malinga and Sunil Narine for the Toronto-based league.
