11:00pm – Eight PSL 4 matches to be held in Pakistan
The fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will see a total of eight matches played in Pakistan itself with the rest of them taking place in the UAE.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the PSL governing council presided upon by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ehsan Mani at Lahore on Saturday.

10:30pm – Bangladesh thrash Sri Lanka by 137 runs in Asia Cup opener
Sri Lanka’s chase of Bangladesh’s 262 at the Dubai International Cricket stadium did not go according to plan. Following a sorry effort with the bat, the islanders wee bowled out for just 124 runs to hand Bangladesh a massive 137-run win in the tournament opener.

9:00pm – Hong Kong braced for huge Pakistan test in Asia Cup
Two-time champions Pakistan begin their quest of clinching another Asian title on Sunday when they take on minnows Hong Kong at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Former Sri Lanka skipper Mahela Jayawardane believes India and Pakistan will be the favourites to lift the Asia Cup which got underway on Saturday at Dubai.
Jayawardane has picked India and Pakistan as his favourites for the title.
7:30pm – Bangladesh set Sri Lanka a target of 262 runs in Asia Cup opener
Bangladesh’s innings in the Asia Cup opener at Dubai has drawn to a close with Mushfiqur Rahim sparkling with a fighting ton. After being reduced to 1-2 along with losing opener Tamim Iqbal to an injury, Bangladesh were ultimately bundled out for 261 in the 50th over with Mushfiqur top-scoring with a 144.

6:30pm – Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal ruled out of the Asia Cup
Bangladesh’s injury woes deepened on Saturday with opener Tamim Iqbal being ruled out of the remainder of the Asia Cup after fracturing his wrist.
The left-hander had come into the tournament nursing a bruised finger and things went from bad to worse in Bangladesh’s Asia Cup opener against Sri Lanka in Dubai.

6:00pm – Australia’s Steve Smith ties the knot in Sydney
Banned Australia star Steve Smith tied the knot with his long time partner Dani Willis in Sydney on Saturday.
The former Australia skipper took to Instagram to post a picture of the newly married couple.

5:00pm- Cricket Australia to investigate Moeen Ali’s claims
Cricket Australia are set to investigate claims by England’s Moeen Ali that an Australiaplayer called him ‘Osama’ during the 2015 Ashes series.
The England all-rounder made the shocking claims in his yet to released autobiography. In an extract from the book published in the Times, Moeen wrote: “An Australian player had turned to me on the field and said, ‘Take that, Osama’. I could not believe what I had heard.

3:00pm – Bangladesh bat first in Asia Cup opener
The 14th edition of the Asia got underway in Dubai on Saturday with Bangladesh taking on Sri Lanka in the tournament opener. Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and elected to bat first.
The Tigers are in a spot of bother early into the match with the returning Lasith Malinga striking twice in his first over.

11:30am – Cook being considered for knighthood
Reports on Friday night suggested Alastair Cook, who retired from international cricket this week with the conclusion of the Test series against India, could have knighthood bestowed upon him.
Cook finished as England’s leading run-scorer and century-maker, adding to this 100s tally in his final Test innings.
