India romped to a 3-0 series win over Zimbabwe with a hugely inexperienced side, justifying their decision to rest a number of key players.

KL RAHUL’S GOT ‘IT’
Lokesh Rahul already has two Test tons under his belt, with one in Australia. It was clear that he has the technique. And against Zimbabwe, he proved that he can turn up the heat in ODIs as well. Rahul has shown that if you have a strong base, no format is too difficult.

ZIMBABWE HAVE FALLEN WAY BEHIND
Zimbabwe made wholesale changes to their team and support staff before the series but things have only gone from bad to worse. So much so, their own supporters booed them and staged a protest at the ground in the second match. It’s not looking good.

INDIA’S MIDDLE-ORDER IS STILL UNTESTED
It was thought the series would give the Indians a fair idea about the next line of middle order batsmen, in case they need to find replacements for Suresh Raina or even captain MS Dhoni. But with nine, eight and 10 wicket wins for the visitors, their middle order saw little time at the crease.
BUMRAH IS ON TOP OF HIS GAME
He is just 22 but Jasprit Bumrah exhibits temperament of a much older cricketer. His control and pace have been spot on and Zimbabwe’s batsmen found him difficult to handle. A couple of four-wicket hauls were just rewards for Bumrah. He has a bright future ahead of him.

DHONI IS AT HIS BEST WITH YOUNGSTERS
MS Dhoni could have rested for the low profile series but given that India will play hardly any limited overs cricket this year, decided to travel with a second-string team. The wicket-keeper batsman is known to be an excellent guide of young players and showcased his skills once again.
