An embarrassing batting collapse from England saw them lose 10 wickets for just 104 runs as they lost by an innings and 75 runs in the fifth Test against India at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
When the opening pair of Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings were at crease, it looked like England would easily bat out the day for a draw. The duo were separated after adding 103 runs for the first wicket, following which England kept losing wickets at regular intervals before being bowled out for 207.
Ravindra Jadeja starred for India with the ball – picking up career-best figures of 7-48.
England were severely criticised for their batting efforts on Twitter with former captains Kevin Pietersen and Michael Vaughan slamming the performance of the visitors.
On the other hand, there were a lot of congratulatory messages for the Indian team from legends of the game such as Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and Virender Sehwag.
Here is a collection of all the top tweets.

Cook had sweepers out for India's opening batsmen from ball one in fear of losing - I'm afraid, that's a no go!

Congrats @imVkohli & his brilliant India team.
What a disgraceful capitulation by England.
Cook OUT. #INDvENG
England must wonder. Make 400 and lose. Then make 477 and lose. This test cricket is a great game....

To score 400 and then lose by an innings in successive Tests a genuinely staggering never-to-be-repeated achievement. Credit where it's due.

OSCAR WILDE: "To lose one Test by an innings after scoring 400 may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose two would look like carelessness."

Amazing win for India. Match looked headed for draw at lunch before Jadeja got into the act. 10 wkts on a good pitch is superlative effort
