  • Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur during the 2016 World T20.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the 14-member squad that will represent India during the fixture.

Mithali Raj will continue to captain the side which will play the qualifier as a result of finishing outside the top four in the ICC Women’s Championship.

India had beaten the West Indies 3-0 in an ODI series in November 2016, but because of the BCCI’s decision to not play a bilateral series against Pakistan, they were forced to forfeit the series and finish fifth.

From the squad that faced the Caribbean outfit, there has been only one change with Mona Meshram not making the squad.

India are in Group A along side Sri Lanka, Ireland, Zimbabwe and Thailand. The tournament will be held from 7 to 21 February 2017 in Colombo – with the top four teams qualifying for the ICC Women’s World Cup, to be held in England later this year.
