  • Rahul Dravid has uploaded a video encouraging Cricket For All on his Facebook page.

“Birthdays are an annual reminder of how much cricket has contributed to my life. It has been a gift that keeps on giving – friendships, experiences, affection and so much more – and that makes me incredibly grateful,” posted Dravid.

“Fortunately, it is a gift that can be passed on and shared with just about anyone and this is something that brings me joy. Here’s a short video I’d like to share with you all today.”

The video tells the story of four different people and how they became attached to the game of cricket.

Akanksha Kohli, a Karnataka women’s team cricketer, tells the tale of how she fell in love with the game while N. Duraiswamy explains how he has followed and played the game for more than 70 years despite having lost the use of his right hand.

The video then moves to Somnath, who plays cricket despite having a daily job to make his ends meet. Lastly, we see a mother who had no idea how cricket works, but now follows the game because of her son.
