  • Dhoni still has some captaincy left in him.

MS Dhoni may no longer be the captain of the Indian team or the Rising Pune Sugergiants [RPS], but he will captain his state side Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The former India skipper will lead a 18-man squad, which includes the likes of Saurabh Tiwary and Varun Aaron who have represented India in the past.

Dhoni had resigned as the captain of the India ODI and T20I teams last month as he felt that the same player – Virat Kohli, in this case – should lead the Indian team in all three formats of the game.

He was surprisingly removed as captain of RPS a couple of days ago, with Australia’s Steve Smith named as his replacement.

The Vijay Hazare Trophy will commence on February 25.
