Another half-century from KL Rahul and a quickfire 38 from stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane guided India to a comfortable eight-wicket win over Australia in the fourth Test at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala on Tuesday.

With this victory, India registered a 2-1 series win and regained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

On Twitter, Sri Lanka great Kumar Sangakkara felt that this Indian team is capable of winningย in any part of the world. India have a bit of a reputation to struggle while playing away from home, but Sangakkara feels that this team has the “ability to exploit pitches with both pace and spin”.

There were a lot of congratulatory messages for the Indian team, while nearly everyone felt that Australia can be proud of their performances despite the loss.

Here, we collect the top tweets of the day.
