  • MS Dhoni, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya prepare for fourth ODI.

India’s batsmen were seen sweating out in the nets on Wednesday ahead of the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo (Thursday).

India won the third ODI at Pallekele by six wickets, thanks to a 157-run partnership from Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni, after Jasprit Bumrah had taken figures of 5-27 to restrict Sri Lanka to 217-9.

India lead the series 3-0 and are therefore expected to make changes in their playing eleven on Thursday (1pm start UAE time).

Manish Pandey is expected to come in place of Kedar Jadhav, while seamer Shardul Thakur and Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav could also make their way into the team.

Meanwhile, India’s wicketkeeper batsman MS Dhoni will be featuring in what will be his 300th ODI, a monumental achievement. He has scored 9,608 runs at an average of 51.93.

Dhoni is also close to breaking two individual records: He is just one stumping away from becoming the first wicketkeeper in ODI history to reach 100 stumpings. Also, Dhoni currently has 72 not outs in ODIs.

Just one more unbeaten innings will help him get past Shaun Pollock and Chaminda Vaas’ record of most not outs in ODI history.
