  • The India man is creating waves on social media with his latest knock.

India wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha has warmed up for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in style.

The 33-year-old smashed a blistering century off just 20 balls for his local club side Mohun Bagan in a JC Mukherjee clash in Kolkata on Saturday.

Mohun Bagan, one of the oldest football clubs in India, also has an active cricket team of which Saha is a part of.

The side chased down the target of 152 set by BNR Recreation Club in just seven overs after Saha’s heroics with the bat.

The wicket-keeper batman opened the innings for Mohun Bagan and smashed 14 boundaries and four massive sixes enroute to his hundred at an astounding strike-rate of 510.

“I could feel from the first ball that I was able to hit the ball in the middle and I went for it,” Saha told reporters after the match.

“Not sure of this being a record, but looking into the IPL, I tried to play different shots and it worked,” he added.

The Bengal man will turn out for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2018 edition of the IPL with the competition getting underway on April 7.

Saha, a mainstay in India’s Test side, has not had the same amount of success in limited-overs cricket, garnering only nine ODI appearances so far in his career with the last of them coming all the way back in 2014.
