The Indian team begin their tour of Ireland and England with the first of two T20s against the Irish in Dublin on Wednesday.
The Indian cricket board uploaded a video of their flight from India to the UK in which all-rounder Hardik Pandya played the emcee and indulged in some banter with members of the Indian team.
While the video had some harmless leg-pulling, the more interesting aspect of it was the nicknames the team has for its members.
As Pandya moved around the flight, we got to know that fast bowler Umesh Yadav is fondly called ‘Superman’ for his strong physique.

The team’s physio Patrick Farhart was referred to as ‘gunja bhai (bald brother)’ in the video because, well, the Aussie is, well, bald.
The funniest nickname in the team set-up has to be that of strength and conditioning coach Shanker Basu. With three India players losing their spot in the team after failing the Y-Yo fitness test and Basu overseeing all the tests, the Indian players have picked the nickname ‘Yo-Yo Basu’ for him.
