Shahid Afridi, whose last competitive match was for Peshawar Zalmi in the 2017 edition of the Pakistan Super League played in the UAE in March, has re-signed for Hampshire once again this season for eight weeks of twenty over cricket.
The 37-year-old all-rounder turned out for the county in last year’s competition but failed to make an impression with either bat and ball, however, the crowd favourite is back for another two-month stint at the Ageas Bowl.
Afridi, who announced his international retirement in February, last played for Pakistan during the 2016 ICC World Twenty20.
