Virat Kohli scored 211, his second double century in Tests, and Ajinkya Rahane added 188 as India are in firm control of the third Test against New Zealand in the three-match Test series.
Coming into bat after the mammoth partnership between Kohli and Rahane had ended, Rohit Sharma scored a half-century, his third of the series before the Indians declared with 557/5 on the board.
Trent Boult and Jeetan Patel picked up two wickets each for the Blackcaps. New Zealand ended the day on 28/0, trailing India by 529 runs.
