Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara’s unbeaten 107-run partnership propelled India’s score to 146/1 at the end of play on day two in the fourth Test against England at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
India are still 254 runs behind England, who were bowled out for exactly 400 earlier in the day, but have nine wickets in hand.
For England, Jos Buttler notched up his sixth Test half-century as his partnership of 54 with Jake Ball for the ninth wicket gave a second wind to the visitors’ innings. Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the Indian bowlers, with figures of 6/112, with spin partner Ravindra Jadeja picking up the remaining four wickets.
While there was praise for Pujara and Vijay from former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra and commentator Harsha Bhogle, former England cricketer and commentator David Lloyd felt that using three commentators at the same time – a practice used in the ongoing series – is an overkill.
Here, we look at the top tweets from day two of the fourth Test:

And just how nimble is Pujara's footwork...dishing out a masterclass on how to play spinners on turning Indian pitches. Brilliant. 😊👏

India will be particularly happy with @mvj888. Had looked a bit out of sorts in the last couple of tests. Must make this count
