The fifth and final Test between India and England has seen the visitors posting a first innings total of 477. In reply, India were 60 for no loss at the end of play on day two at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Speaking at the end of day two, Indian pacer Umesh Yadav mentioned that it is a tough pitch to bowl on, calling it a different surface compared to the ones seen in the series previously.

“I think it is very difficult to bowl on this track. It is a little bit different. They got some quick runs, but I think the ball is not turning a lot. That is the problem, we could not get wickets and lost momentum,” said Yadav.

Yadav feels that if the pitch starts turning soon, the match might not end in a tame draw which looks likely now.

“There are three more days. Let’s see how the wicket behaves. If it turns after the third day, I think there will still be some interest left in the game.” he added.

The Vidarbha fast bowler picked up figures of 2/73 in England’s first innings, taking the wickets of centurion Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid. He has seven wickets in the series, having played all five Tests.

India have already won the series 3-0, having won the last three Tests after drawing the first Test at Rajkot.
