  • Kedar Jadhav and Virat Kohli shone for India.

India managed to chase down a target of 351 to beat England by three wickets in the first ODI at Pune on Sunday.

For the hosts, Virat Kohli and Kedar Jadhav were the stars of the show – both notching up centuries as they put on a 200-run partnership for the fifth wicket after India were 63/4 at one point.

While Kohli scored 122 from 105 deliveries, it is not often that he gets overshadowed in the middle. But that was exactly what happened at Pune as local boy Jadhav smashed a 76-ball 120.

As is to be expected, there was a lot of praise for the duo on Twitter with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman etc. hailing their efforts.

On the other hand, former England captain Michael Vaughan called Kohli the best batsman in all three formats of the game currently.

What did you make of Kohli’s innings?
