  • Kohli recalled an old incident involving Healy.

India captain Virat Kohli shot back at former Australia wicket-keeper Ian Healy after the latter’s comments that he is losing respect for Kohli.

On Sunday, in an interview on Melbourne radio station SEN, Healy had mentioned that he is losing respect for Kohli after his behaviour in the ongoing Test series between India and Australia.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Kohli referenced an old incident when Healy was given out caught behind in a Test against South Africa at Centurion in 1997.

“We have got 1.2 billion people in India. One person doesn’t make a difference to my life. Also, I think you should go and search on YouTube when he [Healy] was given out in Centurion down the leg-side,” said Kohli.

“I heard he said something about me, you know, not having good behaviour with the umpires. But I think you should all YouTube that video.”

In that incident, Healy had furiously thrown his bat in anger while returning to the pavilion after that particular dismissal. He was also handed a two-match suspension for the same.
