  • Key men: Dwayne Bravo (l) and Chris Gayle have been integral to the West Indies' success in one-day cricket.

Dashing West Indian batsmen Chris Gayle and flamboyant all-rounder Dwayne Bravo will both miss the two Twenty20 International matches against New Zealand at Dominica on July 5 and 6.

While Dwayne Bravo’s injury has kept him out of the side, Chris Gayle has been rested for the two matches.

Despite the absence of these two key players, the stage looks set for an entertaining encounter as big-hitter Kieron Pollard makes his comeback into the side, having been absent from the international scene since July 2013.

Bowling all-rounder Christopher Barnwell and batsman Darren Bravo are the new inclusions in the 13-man squad.

However, veteran pair Marlon Samuels and Ravi Rampaul and opener Johnson Charles are amongst those who missed out.

Squad: Darren Sammy (capt), Samuel Badree, Christopher Barnwell, Darren Bravo, Sheldon Cottrell, Andre Fletcher, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin, Andre Russell, Krishmar Santokie, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Smith
