After a superb performance with both bat and ball in the first Test against South Africa, England’s Moeen Ali has moved up to fourth on the latest ICC Test rankings for all-rounders.
The 30-year-old has also achieved career-high ratings in the batting and bowling rankings. Following scores of 87 and 7 and bowling figures of 4-59 and 6-53 at Lord’s, he is now ranked 21st in batting and 19th in bowling in Test cricket.
Joe Root, who scored a century in his first Test as captain, has climbed up to the second spot on the batsmen rankings – overtaking New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson.
Australia’s Steve Smith, India’s Ravindra Jadeja, and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan continue to top the rankings for batsmen, bowlers, and all-rounders respectively.
