  • Dubai Sports City is gearing up for a bumper season of Pakistan international cricket with the announcement that tickets are now available for matches against Australia and New Zealand at the Dubai International Stadium (DIS).

Matches at the venue begin with a Twenty20 International between Pakistan and Australia on Sunday 5 October and a One-Day International five days later, on Friday 10 October.

The first Test match between the two countries will be played at the DIS from Wednesday 22 to Sunday 26 October.

And when New Zealand arrives in the United Arab Emirates, the Black Caps will play a Test match at Dubai Sports City from 17 to 21 November, back-to-back Twenty20 Internationals on Thursday and Friday nights, 4 and 5 December, and a One-Day International on Monday 8 December.

Dubai Sports City General Manager – Sports Business Mr Maqbul Dudhia said: “We are delighted to announce that tickets have gone on sale for Pakistan – Australia and Pakistan – New Zealand matches at the Dubai International Stadium and we are excited about the next few months.

“The last time Australia toured, in 2012, we had a sell-out at the venue, and a superb Twenty20 International series that included a super over.

“Since then we have had all of our match days in this year’s Pepsi Indian Premier League sell out so we advise fans to get in and get their tickets as soon as they can so they do not miss out on any of the action.”

Tickers are available online at www.ticketmaster.ae with prices starting at AED30 for the shorter formats and admission to Test matches are free of charge.

Mr Dudhia added: “We have once again set ticket prices, including free entry for the Test matches, to ensure we are maintaining our policy of making our events as accessible as possible for everyone.

“And at the other end of the scale, our premium and platinum tickets as well as our hospitality packages offer people a high-quality experience.

“We have something for everyone, and the fact it is never been easier to get to Dubai Sports City, thanks to the outstanding road network around us now, on top of public transport links with the F29 bus running regularly from the Mall of the Emirates, means we are within easy reach for all too.”
