Pakistan gained the upper hand in the Lord’s Test after they ended Day Two on 350 for eight on Friday.
Almost the entire Pakistan line-up chipped in with useful runs as they stretched the lead to 166 as England had a shocking day in the field, dropping numerous chances in the slip cordon.
Asad Shafiq made a controlled 59 while Babar Azam scored 68 before he was hit on the arm and forced to retire.
Earlier, Pakistan bowled out the hosts for 184 in the first-innings despite losing the toss. In reply, strong starts from opener Azhar Ali and Haris Sohail had taken Pakistan to 50-1 when stumps were called on day one.
