    9.39pm: Sri Lanka trio banned for six games after St Lucia walk-off

    Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal, coach Chandika Hathurusinghe and manager Asanka Gurusinha have each been suspended for six international matches for “conduct which is contrary to the spirit of the game”.

    The men have each been handed eight suspension points, meaning they will miss the first four One-Day Internationals against South Africa, along with both Test matches.

    The bans come after the trio pleaded guilty to an International Cricket Council charge following last month’s Test against the West Indies in St Lucia.

    6:00pm – Pakistan crush Zimbabwe by nine wickets in second ODI

    That was as easy as it gets for the Pakistan cricket team with the men in green running out comfortable victors by nine wickets in the second ODI against Zimbabwe. The hosts’ total of 194 proved to be no hassle for the visitors who attained the target in just 36 overs at the loss of a single wicket.

    5:00pm – Eoin Morgan chasing ‘significant’ ODI series win over India

    England skipper Eoin Morgan has been speaking on the eve of the deciding ODI against India which will be held at Headingley on Tuesday. Morgan believes edging a quality side like India in a series decider will be highly ‘significant’ for the England team in the run-up to the 2019 World Cup.

    3:30pm – Pakistan’s Azhar Ali set for maiden county stint with Somerset

    Pakistan Test opener Azhar Ali has been eyeing a deal in the County Championship ever since his side  toured England for a two-match series in May this year. The Pakistan man’s wish has been fulfilled now after he signed a seven-match deal with Somerset to replace the injured Matt Renshaw.

    2:45pm – Zimbabwe bowled out for 194 in second ODI against Pakistan

    Pakistan pacers were on song at Bulawyo in the second ODI against Zimbabwe. Usman Khan and Hasan snared four wickets apiece as the hosts were bowled out for just 194 runs after electing to bat first. Zimbabwe skipper Hamilton Masakadza was the top-scorer for his side with a knock of 59.

    2:30pm – India’s Wriddhiman Saha a doubt for England Test series

    India wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha is reportedly facing a race against time to be fit for the first Test against England which gets underway on August 1 at Edgbaston. Saha had sustained a broken thumb while playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL and has been out of action ever since.

    1:00pm – All to play for in final ODI between England and India

    With the three-match series currently locked at 1-1, all eyes will be on Headingley when England and India meet in the deciding ODI on Tuesday. The visitors claimed a superb eight-wicket win in the first ODI at Trent Bridge before the hosts came roaring back at Lord’s with a 86-run victory.

    The final of the inaugural Global T20 Canada was held at Toronto on Sunday with Chris Gayle-led Vancouver Knights getting their hands on the crown with a seven-wicket win over West Indies B.

    11:15am – Sir Richard Hadlee to undergo further surgery for secondary cancer

    Legendary New Zealand cricketer Sir Richard Hadlee is set to undergo further surgery after a secondary cancer was detected in his liver. The Kiwi great had undergone surgery for bowel cancer in May this year.

    At Bulwayo, Zimbabwe and Pakistan are ready to go head-to-head in the second clash of the five-match ODI series. Sarfraz Ahmed’s men lead 1-0 after their comprehensive 201-run win in the first ODI.
