    Social media has been awash with discussions on Fakhar Zaman’s record-breaking double hundred in the fourth ODI against Zimbabwe. The likes of Waqar Younis, Ramiz Raja and Shahid Afridi have all taken to Twitter to applaud Fakhar’s unbeaten innings of 210 at Bulawayo.

    6:15pm – Pakistan crush Zimbabwe by 244 runs in fourth ODI

    Zimbabwe’s innings at Bulawayo has drawn to a close with the hosts only managing in reply to Pakistan’s 399-1. The thumping 244-run win means that Pakistan have taken a 4-0 lead in the five-match ODI series.

    5:00pm – Keshav Maharaj leads South Africa’s charge in second Test against Sri Lanka

    South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj put in the best display ever by a visiting spinner in Sri Lanka as he picked up an eight-wicket haul in the first day of the second Test between the two sides. Batting first, Sri Lanka had reached 116 without any loss before Maharaj worked his magic. The hosts ended day one at 277-9 after Maharaj’s 8-116.

    4:00pm – Ahmed Shehzad decides to not appeal against failed dope test report

    Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad has opted not to appeal the findings of his failed dope test. The right-handed batsman was adjudged to have failed a drug test during a domestic cricket match in Faisalabad following which the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had filed a charge sheet against him. The batsman had a deadline until July 19 to request for a ‘B’ sample test but he has opted not to do so.

    3:00pm – Pakistan set Zimbabwe a target of 400 after Fakhar Zaman’s double ton

    Pakistan’s innings at Bulawayo has drawn to a close and it has been a record-breaking day in many ways for the visitors. Fakhar Zaman surpassed Saeed Anwar’s score of 194 on the way to his maiden ODI double century as Pakistan posted 399-1 in their 50 overs. Fakhar and Imam-ul-Haq put on 304 runs for the first wickets, a new world-record in ODIs. That partnership helped the men in green post their record ODI total, beating their previous best of 385-7 against Bangladesh.

    Former Australia team-mates David Warner and Cameron Bancroft will go head-to-head against each other when their respective sides meet in the Northern Territory Strike League in Darwin on Sunday. Warner and Bancroft were earlier handed 1-month and nine-month bans by Cricket Australia for their roles in the ball-tampering saga which erupted in the team’s tour of South Africa earlier this year.

    2:00pm – England pacer Stuart Broad steps up injury rehabilitation ahead of India Tests

    England’s Stuart Broad has been recovering from an ankle injury and the pacer is feeling in good rhythm ahead of the five-match Test series against India.

    “The action is in a good place, I am getting good bounce and good pace and I am bowling at people in the nets I have bowled at for years and they are saying ‘this is the quickest I have seen you bowl for a couple of years’,” the 32-year-old has said.

    India’s upcoming five-match Test series against hosts England is already blighted with some injury woes but off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is feeling confident about the team’s chances.     Wriddhiman Saha’s injury could be worse than previously expected with the India wicketkeeper set to be ruled out for months. Saha was not selected in India’s squad for the first three Tests against England due to his shoulder injury and he could now require surgery in the coming days according to latest reports.

    At Bulawayo, Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed has won the toss and elected to bat first in the fourth ODI against hosts Zimbabwe. The visitors have already clinched the five-match series with three thumping wins so far and will be eyeing a whitewash over the much depleted hosts.
