    3:30pm – Pakistan bank on history in virtual semi-final against Bangladesh

    In what will be a virtual semi-final in the Asia Cup, Pakistan and Bangladesh will lock horns in the final Super Four encounter in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

    Both teams edged Afghanistan in last-over finishes in their respective Super Four clashes but were comprehensively thumped by India who have already secured their passage to the final on September 28.

    Its Afghanistan who will bat first against India in the dead-rubber Super Four clash at Dubai. There was a huge surprise at the toss in the Sheikh Zayed stadium with MS Dhoni donning the captain’s hat once again for India after a period of 696 days. The Indian have rang in the changes for the clash with Rohit Sharma among five players to be rested.

    Cricket Australia have closed their investigations into Moeen Ali’s claims that he was called ‘Osama’ by a Australia player.

    The England all-rounder had made the claim in his new autobiography with the alleged incident said to have taken place during the 2015 Ashes series in Australia.

    11:00am – Mohammad Shahzad reports suspicious approach to ICC

    Afghanistan’s Mohammad Shahzad has reported a spot-fixing approach for the upcoming Afghan Premier T20 League to the ICC.

    According to a report by ESPNCricinfo, Shahzad promptly reported the corrupt approach to the team management before it was conveyed to ICC’s Anti-Corruption Unit.

    The Player Draft for the second edition of the T10 League was completed in Dubai on Monday with the eight franchises making their picks. West Indies dasher Chris Gayle was among the players picked up in the draft with Kerala Kings getting their hands on the T20 stalwart.
