  • The Indian legend got everyone laughing.

While Kevin Pietersen might not be playing in the tenth edition of the IPL, he certainly doesn’t want to miss out on the ‘fun’ aspect of the tournament.

Commentating during the game between Rising Pune Supergiant, his former team and the Mumbai Indians, KP had a moment that he will remember for a long while.

Talking to RPS’ Manoj Tiwary who was mic’d up whilst fielding in the slips, KP asked him to tell MS Dhoni that he (KP) was a better golfer than him. Tiwary agreed and told Dhoni the same (in Hindi) when he got the chance.

But what happened next was what made it a moment to savour. Dhoni on hearing KP’s words said, “He’s still my first Test wicket”.

KP took it in a positive manner but reminded everyone listening that it was a referral. The incident dates back to 2011, during the first Test of the Pataudi Trophy, when Dhoni came onto bowl.

He struck KP’s pads on the first ball and in the same over appealed for a caught behind which was given out, but replays suggested the ball had touched KP’s pads instead. Dhoni therefore doesn’t have a Test wicket.

But well, he got everyone to believe that on air.
