Skipper Steve Smith helped Rising Pune Supergiant to a thrilling seven-wicket win against Mumbai Indians on Thursday evening in Pune.
Steve Smith, Pune’s new captain, paced his innings well, accelerating towards the end as he guided his side over the finish line in the final over with just one delivery left.
The 27-year-old chased down a formidable total and was ably assisted by Ajinkya Rahane at the top and a bit of good fortune as he was dropped early on in his innings.
Smith continued his form from the recently concluded Test series against India.
He was awarded the Man of the Match for his stupendous performance.
