Returning to the Royal Challengers Bangalore side, AB de Villiers was at his very best on Monday night, even if his team-mates weren’t.
The South African batsman replaced Chris Gayle in the starting lineup and delivered a classic De Villiers knock filled with class, composure and power.
De Villiers smashed an unbeaten 89 from just 46 balls in an innings that included three fours and an incredible nine sixes.
It was the latest example in De Villiers’ long back catalogue of world class performances.
