  • Will any of these players feature in your team?

It’s that time again for you to take a look at your Fantasy IPL team and do a little tinkering ahead of Royal Challengers Bangalore hosting Gujarat Lions on Thursday.

For RCB, it has been a miserable campaign and their remaining matches are pretty much must win for here.

The case is very much the same for Gujarat and whoever loses this one is staring at the exit door with half their body already on the way out.

Here, we look at three players who you should look at picking in your fantasy team for this encounter, including our pick for your Power Player.

    POWER PLAYER

    VIRAT KOHLI [1,100,000] – RCB

Cometh the hour, cometh the man – now is the time for Virat Kohli to stand up and be counted like he has done so many times over the past year or so.

The onus is on the RCB captain to inspire a turnaround in fortunes and, when it comes to Kohli, you expect him to deliver when his team needs him to the most.

Considering RCB’s recent run, it may look a gamble. Considering Kohli’s love of the big games, his pick is a given.

    BRENDON MCCULLUM [950,000] – GL

Gujarat’s most promising performances have come this season from the bats of McCullum and Suresh Raina.

The former is fifth on the highest run-scorer list – Raina is third – and it has been somewhat of a renaissance for McCullum thus far.

McCullum is the one we’ve gone for out of the two as a rare bright sport among two teams with struggling foreign stars.

    PAWAN NEGI [800,000] – RCB

Negi has been disappointing so far this season, being unable to live up to his reputation as one of India’s most promising all-rounders.

He has had some success with the ball, taking seven wickets, but with the bat he has just 35 runs.

Negi is an undoubted talent and is due a score. If he combines that with wickets then he is a great option to include in your side.
