  • Who will come out on top?

The Indian Premier League [IPL] is getting to a stage where every match is crucial as teams attempt to qualify for the playoffs while the franchises at the top try to finish in the first two places to get that extra cushion during the qualifiers.

In Match 32, we will see table-toppers Kolkata Knight Riders host Delhi Daredevils who have suffered three successive losses.

Kolkata will go into this match full of confidence as they have managed to win six out of the eight matches they have played this season. On the other hand, Delhi need to produce something special to challenge the Knight Riders on the latter’s home turf.

Ahead of the match, we have the latest team news, start time and date, as well as how you can watch all the action from the UAE.

    TEAM NEWS, SQUADS, PREDICTED XIs

KKR SQUAD: Gautam Gambhir, Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav, Andre Russell, Manish Pandey, Suryakumar Yadav, Piyush Chawla, Robin Uthappa, Shakib Al Hasan, Chris Lynn, Umesh Yadav, Yusuf Pathan, Sheldon Jackson, Ankit Singh Rajpoot, Trent Boult, Chris Woakes, Rishi Dhawan, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Rovman Powell, R Sanjay Yadav, Ishank Jaggi, Darren Bravo, Sayan Ghosh, Colin de Grandhomme.

Almost every tactic that the Kolkata-based franchise have used this season – be it opening with Sunil Narine or operating with three spinners – seems to have worked well.

The Knight Riders’ star bowler from their last game at Eden Gardens, Nathan Coulter-Nile, was rested for the next match, but you can expect him to come back for this game.

PREDICTED KKR XI: Narine, Gambhir (c), Uthappa, Pandey, Pathan, Suryakumar, de Grandhomme, Woakes, Coulter-Nile, Kuldeep, Umesh.

DD SQUAD: Mohammed Shami, Karun Nair, Sam Billings, Shahbaz Nadeem, Jayant Yadav, Amit Mishra, Shreyas Iyer, Zaheer Khan, Sanju Samson, Chris Morris, Carlos Brathwaite, Rishabh Pant, CV Milind, Khaleel Ahmed, Pratyush Singh, Angelo Mathews, Corey Anderson, Kagiso Rabada, Pat Cummins, Ankit Bawne, Aditya Tare, Murugan Ashwin, Navdeep Saini, Shashank Singh, Ben Hilfenhaus, Marlon Samuels.

Delhi have added West Indies World T20 star Marlon Samuels to their squad as a replacement for the injured Quinton de Kock. Samuels will definitely help add a lot of experience to a young middle-order.

It’s very hard to predict Delhi’s playing XIs as they tend to change their team every match. But going by how the Eden Gardens pitch has played recently, they will be tempted to play with four pacers once again.

Also, it’s surely about time that the impressive Shahbaz Nadeem returns to the line-up.

PREDICTED DD XI: Samson, Billings, Nair, Iyer, Pant (wk), Morris, Rabada, Cummins, Mishra, Nadeem, Zaheer.
