  • The West Indies batsman put on some groovy 'Bhangra' moves.

Kings XI Punjab fans can expect to be entertained in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) if Chris Gayle’s latest Instagram post is anything to go by.

The West Indies batsman, who was picked up by the Kings XI franchise in the IPL auction at the start of the year, posted a video of him performing the bhangra to some Indian tunes.

The swashbuckling batsman can be seen dancing on a boat , wearing a life-jacket and he seems to be totally enjoying it.

The bhangra is a traditional dance from Punjab, which is where Gayle’s franchise is based.

The 38-year-old Gayle, who was part of the Royal Challenger Bangalore franchise for a considerable period, was not picked up initially by any team in the IPL auction. The left-hander went unsold twice in the auction before being picked up the Ravichandran Ashwin-led franchise.

One of the most lethal batsmen in T20s, Gayle played 323 T20 matches in his career so far, registering more than 11,000 runs with the help of a staggering 20 tons.

Gayle’s Kings XI Punjab will open their IPL campaign on April 8 when they take on the Delhi Daredevils at home.
