  • Ankit Rajpoot bowled superbly for Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI Punjab are the shock leaders of the IPL with five wins out of six games, after their superb bowling attack defended a meagre total of 143 for 8 against the mis-firing Delhi Daredevils.

    Here are our player ratings:

Lokesh Rahul – 7: (23 off 15 balls) Scratchy early and will be disappointed to get out to a nothing ball from Liam Plunkett, managed three fours and one six while he was there

Aaron Finch – 3: (2 off 4 balls) Poor tournament so far with just 16 runs at an average of 5.33(!) and continued with 2 from 4 balls, before lofting a mis-hit pull off Avesh Khan, then missed a throw from David Miller to give up four over-throws at a key moment, at least took the final catch of Shreyas Iyer off Mujeeb ur Rahman

Mayank Agarwal – 7: (21 off 16 balls) Made Boult look average with two fours early on before Plunkett surprised him with a quicker ball and cleaned him up, superb fielding at long-on to run-out Dan Christian

Karun Nair – 7: (34 off 32 balls) Beautiful drive on the up off Avesh Khan, and looking to lay the foundations for a long innings before he too was undone by clever variation from Plunkett

Yuvraj Singh – 5: (14 off 17 balls) Punjab needed a big innings from the vet but he played and missed early and was pinned down by Dan Christian and Liam Plunkett, Avesh Khan put him out of his misery.

David Miller – 6: (26 off 19 balls) Dropped twice in a slow start then opened up to post some important runs, unnecessary throw in the field gave up four over-throws

Ravichandran Ashwin – 7 (capt): (6 off 7 balls, 0-19 from 4 overs) Poked around with the bat, but turned the screws perfectly with the ball bowling four tight overs in the middle of the Delhi innings, showed a lot of courage to give Barinder Sran a fourth over but it worked a treat, leading his side superbly at the moment with a strong team spirit clearly developing

Andrew Tye – 7: (3 off 9 balls, 2-25 from 4 overs) Swung lustily without connecting with the bat and bowled a nice tight line, nice catch to dismiss Glenn Maxwell and also removed Gautam Gambir with one that straightened, turned the screws when required with ball and got the wicket of Rahul Tewatia at crucial stage

Barinder Sran – 6 (o off 1 ball, 1-45 from 4 overs) Tonked for 18 off his first and over, bowled three wides in his second then went for 15 in his third, but his captain persisted with him and he finished off well with just four runs and a wicket from his final over

Ankit Rajpoot – 8: (2-23 from 4 overs) Started well, slanting the ball across Gautam Gambhir but then lost his advantage with a foolhardy LBW review, struck back to bowl Prithvi Shaw with a peach and continued to cause problems for the batsman removing the dangerous Glenn Maxwell, finished his spell with two boundaries to take some gloss off

Mujeeb Ur Rahman – 8: (2-24 from 4 overs) Sloppy fielding on the rope gave up a boundary off Ankit Rajpoot but his first delivery to clean bowl Rishabh Pant, a wicked top-spinning leggie, wiped that memory clean. Bowled the final over and held his nerve to trump Shreyas despite going for a six early
