The 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) season heads into match 33 with Sunrisers Hyderabad set to host Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday in a repeat of last year’s final.

As fans, watching the action is not the only thing to look forward to – IPL fantasy games mean you have the opportunity to get involved as well.

As the IPL’s official partner, Dream11 runs a daily contest for each game apart from the default format which is conducted per round.

Here, we focus on helping you navigate your way through the form.

    BATSMAN

David Warner – Sunrisers Hyderabad (11 credits)

While Sunrisers have struggled of late with three consecutive defeats, Warner’s form has remained immune. The Australian opener has more than done his part for the side only to be let down by a shambolic middle-order.

Warner’s last two outings have both yielded fifties which has now taken his tournament tally to four half-centuries. Add in his superb ton against RCB and it is no surprise to see the southpaw pull away at the top of the run-scoring charts for IPL 2019 while leaving the others in his wake.

With a batting average of 80 and a strike-rate of over 140, Warner is the clear-cut choice for the batsman’s slot and should be expected to continue his rich vein of form.

    BOWLER

Imran Tahir – Chennai Super Kings (9 credits)

While Warner is topping the batting charts so far, Tahir is giving Kagiso Rabada a close run for his money for the ‘Purple Cap’ (most wickets).

The veteran leg-spinner has been the pick of CSK’s bowlers this season and has answered skipper MS Dhoni’s call whenever the situation has demanded.

The Proteas leggie has already claimed 13 wickets in eight appearances while maintaining an excellent economy-rate of less than six runs an over.

Tahir is fresh from his four-wicket haul against KKR at Eden Gardens and will relish the prospect of adding to his tally on a similar kind of surface at Hyderabad.

    ALL-ROUNDER

Ravindra Jadeja – Chennai Super Kings (8.5 credits)

With spin set to play a major part at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium, Jadeja gets the nod for the all-rounder’s slot.

The CSK star has looked solid with the ball and in the field and has been his usual busy self. His left-arm spin has already fetched him seven wickets and his economy-rate is not bad either at only 6.46.

In Chennai’s most recent encounter against KKR, Jadeja chipped in with a crucial unbeaten cameo of 31 runs with the bat as well. The left-hander will be riding high on confidence after making the cut for India’s 2019 World Cup squad and he should be among the points once again on Wednesday based on his current form.

    WICKETKEEPER

Jonny Bairstow – Sunrisers Hyderabad (9.5 credits)

This was a close call between Bairstow and Dhoni but it is the former who gets the nod due to the advantage of playing in home conditions.

The England wicketkeeper batsman has been excellent alongside Warner in the opening role for Hyderabad in his maiden IPL campaign. Bairstow’s 304 runs so far have come at an average of approximately 43 along with a strike-rate of over 156.

The explosive opener had a mini slump of two matches but he looked close to matching his early-season form in the most recent clash against Delhi Capitals.

Expect Bairstow to cash in again with the bat along with his fair share of points behind the stumps as well.
