  • Red army: The victorious Oud Metha side celebrate their win over Dulsco.

Oud Metha CC beat hosts Dulsco by seven wickets to book their berth in the semi-finals of the 13th Dulsco Ramadan Cricket Tournament at the Zabeel Park Cricket Ground in Dubai.

After Dulsco had posted a respectable 154 for six in 20 overs, Oud Metha secured a comfortable victory, losing just three wickets and reaching their target with 10 balls to spare.

The result means that Aster DM Healthcare will face off against Future King Heroes in the first semi-final while Oud Metha will fight it out with Multiplex International in the second game.

Dulsco have only themselves to blame for the defeat as they dropped a whopping 11 catches.

Dulsco’s innings was in disarray early on as Junaid sent both openers back to the pavilion to make it 22-2.

Zeeshan Siddique provided some impetus with 54, but once he was dismissed, Dulsco struggled to reach 154 for 6. Sangeeth Joseph too up picked two wickets.

Dulsco started their defence on a bright note as they dismissed Ramakrishna (4).

However, their hopes of a win soon vanished.

After his success with the ball, Sangeeth took apart the Dulsco attack.

He was first involved in a 49- run partnership with Awaiz Iqbal and then powered the team to win in the company of Junaid (24).

Sangeeth remained not out on 86 with Oud Metha assisted by some poor fielding.
