Commenting on the opportunities for cricket fans to pick up their tickets, Dubai Sports City General Manager – Sports Business Maqbul Dudhia said: “We are delighted tickets are available in a wide variety of traditional outlets across Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi as well as online at ticketmaster.ae.

“This year those places include selected Jacky’s and Samsung retail outlets, spreading the range of locations where they can be purchased still further.

“It means people have maximum opportunity to get hold of tickets, which are bound to be hot property, especially for our opening matches of a bumper season of cricket, with the Twenty20 International falling close to a public holiday and starting at 8 o’clock, and the One-Day International taking place on a Friday.

“With tickets starting at just AED40 we are once again maintaining our consistent policy at Dubai Sports City of ensuring the matches are accessible to as many people as possible.

“And for people who want that extra bit of luxury we have tickets that include access to beverage counters and there are our renowned Dubai Sports City hospitality boxes too. It means we have something for everyone for maximum enjoyment of what will be classic cricket contests.

“It has never been easier to get to Dubai Sports City either, with a fantastic road network now around the stadium and also buses operated by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority running regularly to and from the Mall of the Emirates.

“And with the Mall of the Emirates on the Dubai Metro line, it means travelling to Dubai Sports City from across Dubai and beyond is straightforward, whether or not you have your own car.

“Our advice is simple: get your tickets as soon as you can because the last time Australia played at Dubai Sports City, in 2012, we had a complete sell-out with 25,000 fans packed in for the action and the excitement of a super over too.

“Both sides are packed with talent and the fact Shahid Afridi is back as Pakistan captain in the Twenty20 International format just adds even more excitement and anticipation to proceedings.”
