  • Victorious: Globelink West Star Shipping lifted the Power Horse T20 title.

Anfal Palam Muhammed rose to the occasion by hitting an impressive half-century as Globelink West Star Shipping clinched the Power Horse T20 title in a thrilling final.

They registered a four-run victory against Interface, who were all out for 166 in their chase at the Fair Ground Oval at Dubai Men’s College.

After losing the toss, Globelink suffered an early jolt when Rejas Khan was out for just four.

Rohan Mustafa, who had a fantastic tournament thus far, was up to the task again. Along with Anfal (84no, four fours and two sixes), the duo were unperturbed by the bowling attack.

Both of them mixed caution with aggression as the pair put on 115 for the second wicket.

Mustafa soon departed with 41 runs but Anfal continued his assault and Laxman Sreekumar scored a quickfire 12-ball 22,
including three boundaries and a six, as Globelink posted 170.

In reply, Interface were 26-3 but Ramveer Rai fired his way to a well crafted 62 from 45 deliveries while Farhan Baber hit 38 from 28 balls.

At 133-6, and needing another 38, it looked like Interface were within reach of a victory before Baber succumbed.
