  • Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has issued an apology to the fans of his franchise, after their exit from the 2018 IPL season.

In a video posted by the Indian star, Kohli has also promised that his RCB team will come back stronger in the next edition of the high-profile tournament.

RCB crashed out of the IPL after a 30-run loss to Rajasthan Royals in Match No. 53, after not being able to chase down a target of 165 runs, thanks to Shreyas Gopal’s match-winning figures of 4 for 16.

Meanwhile, Kohli was also ruled out of his county stint with Sussex due to a neck injury.

A BCCI press release stated, “He will begin training and subsequently undergo a fitness test at the NCA in Bengaluru from June 15. The BCCI Medical Team is confident that Kohli will regain full fitness ahead of India’s upcoming tours to Ireland and England.”
