  • Kohli was not happy with the response his Twitter post received.

India superstar Virat Kohli is currently looking to get back to full fitness from a neck injury but that hasn’t stopped him from being vocal about social issues in the country.

The India skipper has previously talked about the importance of being active and fit following a rise obesity levels in India. This time, Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma have done their bit by trying to raise awareness about cleanliness.

On Saturday, Kohli posted a video on twitter which showed the India star’s wife admonishing passengers in another car at a traffic stop. In the video, Anushka can be seen pulling up the passengers for littering.

“Saw these people throwing garbage on the road & pulled them up rightfully. Travelling in a luxury car and brains gone for a toss. These people will keep our country clean? Yeah right! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same & spread awareness,” Kohli wrote in his post.

Soon, the batting maestro’s post went viral with many supporting the couple for their move.

However, Kohli was unhappy at some of the comments which his post received.

“A lot of people who don’t have the courage to do something like this find it funny. Everything for people nowadays is meme content. Shame,” Kohli wrote in his second post.

The right-handed batsman on Friday appeared at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for a fitness test along with MS Dhoni. Both stalwarts reportedly passed the fitness test though doubts remain over Kohli’s neck injury.
