The UAE team resumed their Arab Cycling Championships campaign yesterday but were unable to make any podium appearances on day three in Annaba, Algeria.
After Ahmed Al Mansoori, Majed Al Balooshi and brothers Yousif and Badr Mirza claimed silver in the team time trial on Saturday, the younger Emirati cyclists struggled in the cadet and junior categories yesterday.
Saeed Suwaidan and Mohamed Mehrab placed sixth and seventh among 14 cyclists in the cadet individual time trial.
In the juniors category, Ahmed Saif and Ahmed Al Marzouqi placed 11th and 14th respectively.
Al Mansouri and Yousif Mirza will line-up for the 30km senior’s individual time trial today, looking to add to the UAE’s medal tally.
