    1) YANNICK BOLASIE (CRYSTAL PALACE) – 7.76

Wing wizard Yannick Bolasie laid on a perfect cross for team-mate Yohan Cabaye to score unmarked from six yards out as Crystal Palace beat Southampton to move up to sixth in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old tormented the South Coast side with pace, strength and trickery on either flank and outmuscled captain Jose Fonte to provide the assist for the only goal of the game.

Bolasie, who penned a new long-term deal at Selhurst Park in September, went on another mazy run in the second-half, skipping by several defenders – only for his final ball to let him down.

    2) RIYAD MAHREZ (LEICESTER CITY) – 7.59

The Algerian star has arguably been the player of the season in the Premier League so far and showed once again against Chelsea why the football world is drooling over his talent.

Mahrez, 24, struck a wonderful second goal for the hosts in the 2-1 victory.

After controlling the ball with precision inside the penalty area, he twisted and turned Blues defender Cesar Azpilicueta inside out before curling a brilliant effort past Thibaut Courtois into the corner of the net.

The winger has scored 11 goals this season and created seven goals.

    3) ODION IGHALO (WATFORD) – 7.42

Watford striker Odion Ighalo struck his 10th goal of the season and his 26th in the calendar year – more than any other player in each of the four top tiers in English football – to secure a 1-0 win over struggling Sunderland.

The Nigerian star showed his predatory instincts in front of goal after just four minutes, pouncing before Black Cats defender Sebastian Coates to turn in at the near post.

Ighalo had chances to double or even triple his tally in the second-half but he proved a constant menace against a woeful Sunderland back line.

    4) JONAS OLSSON (WEST BROM) – 7.35

The Baggies central defender was quite frankly a human wall for the away side in their 2-2 draw against Liverpool.

The super Swede, who helped Tony Pulis’ side stretch their unbeaten run to four matches, even got on the scoresheet himself as he glanced a second-half header past Simon Mignolet.

In recent weeks, West Brom have started to adopt to their manager’s solid defensive approach and 32-year-old Olsson has formed a solid partnership with Gareth McAuley.

    5) WAYNE HENNESSEY (CRYSTAL PALACE) – 7.26

The Crystal Palace goalkeeper was in fine form for Alan Pardew’s side as he kept a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Southampton.

The Wales shot-stopper has had to bide his time and wait for his chance to play for Palace due to the form of fans’ favourite Julian Speroni, but he has grabbed his opportunity this season and looks well set to retain his place in the south east London team.
