Huawei offers UAE fans the chance to watch a LIGA BBVA game

  • Leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider Huawei are offering fans across the UAE the chance to win a trip to Spain to watch an Liga de Futbol Profesional match by purchasing one of their smartphones. 

    Consumers will then be directed to compete in a Facebook Football game application as part of Huawei’s fun and interactive competition in order to become the lucky country winner.

    The campaign comes after Huawei announced it had signed a contract with Liga De Fútbol Profesional (LFP) in December 2013, which saw the company become LFP’s official global technology partner.

    The GCC wide competition to send lucky football fans to Spain is part of Huawei’s campaign to align itself closer to football.

    Mr. Fernando Sanz, LFP MENA General Director, said: "Huawei’s football fan engagement campaign is a creative and innovative way to reach out to fanbase in the Middle East, through its technology.

    Many people in the region are fierce supporters of teams in the LIGA BBVA and we are delighted to be part of a competition that will send a group of lucky winners to enjoy one of our matches in Spain."

    Last year Huawei invested in its global sports marketing program, signing a premium sponsorship agreement with both AC Milan and Arsenal becoming the official Mobile Partner and supplier of the communications solutions for the Premier League Football Clubs.

    Last year Huawei also stepped up as the leading sponsor of the Huawei 5th GCC National Teams Under 23 Football Championship and as a supporting partner of the popular Al Roudan Football Tournament 2013.
