The draw for the knock-out stages of the UEFA Champions League will take place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday, December 12.
The knockout phase will involve the 16 teams that qualified as winners and runners-up of each of the eight groups in the ongoing preliminary stage.
The first leg of the matches will be played on February 14, 15, 21 and 22, while the second leg will be held on March 7, 8, 14 and 15.
As per the rules of the draw, every seeded side (group-topper) will take on an unseeded side (group-runners up) in the round of 16. But teams from the same group or the same country can not be pitted against each other.
After three months of intense competition, we have Arsenal, Napoli, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Monaco, Leicester City, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus as the seeded sides from their respective groups, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Benfica, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Real Madrid, FC Porto and Sevilla in the list of unseeded teams.
