  • While Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe has rightly grabbed all the headlines recently for his scintillating form, another youngster is still staking his claim to be Europe’s best.

Dele Alli hasn’t gone under the radar, of course. He’s still among the most hyped youngsters in Europe, and the Spurs star continues to live up to expectations.

The penalty he scored on Sunday against Southampton was the first time he’d ever taken a penalty in a senior game, but nobody would have guessed it, so confidently did the 20-year-old dispatch the spot-kick to bring up his 14th league goal of the season.

With Harry Kane set for a spell on the sidelines, Alli will have to step up to keep Tottenham’s Premier League campaign on track.

Will he continue to go from strength to strength?
