  • With only a few weeks to go until the end of the season, transfer gossip is beginning to gather pace!

    CESC FABREGAS

Chelsea midfielder CESC FABREGAS is dominating the back pages, with several national newspapers reporting that he will be the subject of a summer transfer battle.

The Spaniard is set to be in the middle of a tug of war between Liverpool and Manchester United, report the Sun, Daily Star and Daily Express, with a reported fee of £25million.

If neither of those moves happen, Fabregas has no interest in joining suitors AC Milan, according to the London Evening Standard.

    RATING: 8/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: The Spaniard has only started 10 league games this season and is behind N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. With Antonio Conte playing a formation that doesn’t suit the midfielder, perhaps it’s time he found game time elsewhere.

    MARQUINHOS

Jose Mourinho has made Paris St Germain centre-back MARQUINHOS his top defensive target this summer and is ready to bring in the 22-year-old Brazil international in a £50million deal, says the Mirror.

Mourinho is also ready to raid Ligue 1 for two more of its star names, with the Express reporting that United are planning an £80million double swoop for PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi and Monaco playmaker Bernardo Silva.

    RATING: 7/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: With the futures of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in doubt, it’s possible that Mourinho could make a move for the highly-rated Brazilian. PSG are keen to keep Marquinhos but he is unwilling to extend his current contract.

    ANDREA BELOTTI

Manchester United may miss out on the signing of Torino striker Andrea Belotti, however, with reports in Italy saying the 23-year-old, who has a £84million release clause in his contract, wants to play in the Champions League.

    RATING: 3/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: With 27 goals in 34 appearances, the Italian star has caught the attention of many of Europe’s elite clubs this season. With a significant buy-out clause in his contract, it is highly unlikely United will meet Torino’s demands.
