    ALEXIS SANCHEZ

The battle for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez is hotting up after the Mirror reported Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign him.

The Chile international has signalled his desire to leave the Emirates Stadium for Champions League football and the report says the Ligue 1 giants have contacted his agent.

Manchester City are also monitoring the situation closely and have long been linked.

    SPORT360 VERDICT

With a year left on his deal and no desire to sign an extension, it would be naive of Arsenal not to sell now with the risk of him leaving on a free next summer.

PSG would most likely be their preferred destination for the Chilean but City are thought to be in pole position.

Still, a move to Paris would probably suit all parties given it means Arsenal don’t sell to a direct domestic rival so it’s one to keep an eye on.

    NEYMAR

Sticking with PSG and respected Italian transfer source GianlucaDiMarzio.com has a sensational story that PSG will make another transfer bid for Neymar.

The Parisians attempted to sign the Barcelona star last year before he signed a new deal at Camp Nou but are now prepared to pay his astronomical €222million release clause in order to seal a move.

Their bid could get support from Neymar’s entourage as a separate report in Sport says the Brazilian is being encouraged to leave Barca in order to step out of Lionel Messi’s shadow.

    RATING: 6/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

We know PSG are cash rich but are their pockets deep enough to splash out €222million? It remains to be seen but the fact it’s come from Gianluca Di Marzio would suggest there is some validity to this rumour.

The Brazilian is contracted with Barca until 2021 but if the reports in Spain that he is unsettled are true, then PSG could profit, although you would suspect the rest of Europe’s heavyweights will be sniffing around, too.

    TONI KROOS

Inter Milan are set to join their city rivals AC Milan in going big in the transfer window by making a move for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.

According to Sport Mediaset, Inter will table a €80million offer and believe the Spanish and European champions would be willing to sell at that price.

    RATING: 4/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Can’t see it. The 27-year-old has long been one of Madrid’s consistently classy operators and given his importance to Zinedine Zidane and the stature of the club he plays for, why would Real sell and deeper than that, why would he want to leave?

Still, it’s been a crazy window and some big deals have been done in Italy so we won’t totally rule it out.
